| Rotary was founded by Paul Harris, a Chicago attorney on February 23, 1905. In 2005, Rotary is celebrating it's 100 year anniversary. In recognition of "100 Years of Rotary", Rotary Clubs all over the world are doing special Centennial Projects to commemorate this milestone. The Burton-Middlefield Rotary's Centennial Project is to dedicate one of six large stone boulders engraved with the names of Geauga County Veterans as part of the Geauga County Veterans Memorial that is to be erected in Chardon.
